This sure is interesting.
Sam Morin was a first-round draft pick back in 2013 for the Flyers. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to stay on the ice due to so many devastating knee injuries.
In 2018 he tore his ACL during the Phantom’s playoff run and in 2019 it happened again during the AHL regular season.
Anthony SanFilippo, who covers the Flyers for Crossing Broad, tweeted this out on Sunday evening.
Hearing some bad news out of the @NHLFlyers . Sources have confirmed that Samuel Morin has once again suffered a significant knee injury. Expect a formal announcement in the coming days. Such a shame for such a good guy who has been through so much. #Flyers #AnytimeAnywhere

Riley Cote, former Flyer, quote-tweeted this bad boy with a screenshot of his texts with Sam Morin.

Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer gave an update on Morin (and Wade Allison) Monday afternoon about 20 minutes after Riley’s response.
Update: Sam Morin battling another injury and won’t start camp with #Flyers. GM Chuck Fletcher says he is “still waiting to hear” about Wade Allison’s status from his medical staff.

This would fit the mold of what Morin said in texts.
“My knee got banged up a little but nothing major”
I’m going to take the player’s word on this one.
